Parliamentary Celebratory Reception at Westminster Palace

Colleagues from Uniper’s Engineering Academy attended a Parliamentary reception at Westminster Palace yesterday (5th February 2020) which is being held for the finalists of the FE Week & AELP AAC Apprenticeship Awards 2020.

We’re proud to have been nominated as a finalist in the Engineering and Manufacturing Apprenticeship Provider of the Year category for the second year running, giving us the opportunity to defend the title that we won in 2019. We’re regularly reminded by the apprentices that we train just how important the ‘Uniper experience’ has been to their development and from the employers we work with, how the skills that we teach have impressed and benefited their businesses. To be recognised externally again in this way is something that everyone at the Academy is very honoured by.

The reception was hosted by the Rt Hon. Robert Halfon MP, Chair of the Education Select Committee and former Skills & Apprenticeship Minister; its purpose being to formally recognised the finalists as well as outstanding apprenticeship delivery and provision across the sectors! It was great to be supported by our local Rushcliffe MP, Ruth Edwards.

Apprenticeship award winners will be announced on 3rd March 2020; if you’re an employer and you’d like to find out more about how our apprenticeships could support your goals then please get in touch with us.
