The I.E.T code of practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installations ( 3rd Edition)

The U.K Earthing installation requirements.

Risk assessment process, initial verification.

Completion of test and inspection certification EIC

Practical test and inspection of EV charging posts

Practical examination

A 1 hour on-line open book City & Guilds examination

Course Prerequisites

This is a career professional development (CPD) course. It is for candidates who have a relevant trade qualification and/or have a working knowledge of the electrical industry, who have completed BS7671-18 18th edition regulations and are at least 18 years old.

Candidates must:

  • Be able to correctly install and terminate pvc/pvc cable (twin & earth) and Steel Wire Armoured cable,
  • Understand the different Earthing installation requirements i.e. TT, TN-S, TN-CS.
  • Have an understanding and prior experience of inspection/testing and be able to carry out a initial verification and complete the necessary paperwork.

Candidates will need to Bring The I.E.T code of practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installations (4th Edition)

Candidates can bring their own approved/calibrated test equipment if they wish or use ours
